Update:
On June 4th, Orlando Police officers responded to the home of a victim of a sexual battery that occurred in the Carver Shores neighborhood. The female victim told our officers that the suspect broke into her house and attacked her in her bedroom. During the incident, the suspect threatened the victim stating he had a gun.
Through investigative resources, OPD Detectives were able to identify the sexual battery suspect as Karland Gillens. Today, members of OPD’s Fugitive Investigative Unit & the U.S. Marshalls Office located & arrested Gillens. He is charged w/ Armed Sexual Battery, False Imprisonment with a Weapon, & Armed Burglary.
